Hospitalet del Infant is a lovely village located in the heart of Costa Dorada and well known as a principal tourist place in Catalonia. On the coastal line you will find Hospitalet de L'Infant and L'Almadrava. In Hospitalet de L'Infant you can visit the old town walls which surrounded the former 14th century Gotic hospital, which nowadays houses an exhibition centre.
A walk around the streets will take you to various squares: Plaça del Pau (town well), Catalunya (Catalonia), L'Esglesia de la Marina (the church), Coll de Balaguer and the small chapel of Sant Roc. In L'Almadrava you can walk by the sea and visit the chapel of Sant Jaume.

At Masriudoms you can see the 13th century steeple with its bell and nearby the plaça de la Font ( Fountain) you will find a small open-air wash house. This area has a long history which dates from 1191, when the village of Vandellós ( which means Valley of Laurel) received a Royal Charter. In 1346, Hospitalet de L'Infant was born thanks to Peter ("infante Pere") who founded the old hospital which bore the name.
